Dewey's 24-hour Read-a-thon!!

I'm SO excited to be taking part in this read-a-thon. Over 400 people are participating, and it honestly is amazing.
All my reading updates will be placed here. So be sure to check back here on my progress.
I'll also be tweeting, so if you're not already following me, you can follow me by clicking here.
Also, feel free to add me on Goodreads to see my status updates on the books I'm reading.
I am a slow reader, so this will be a definite challenge for me.
If you are participating, let me know down below.
Good luck & happy reading!! =D

Introductory Questionnaire

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
I'm from England - woo!!
2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?

Oh gosh. Erm...Cinder by Marissa Meyer
3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Just about to have my lunch so I'm all fueled up =D
4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
Big books scare me!! D:
5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
I'm just looking forwards to this challenge and seeing how well I can do.

Mid-Event Survey

1) How are you doing? Sleepy? Are your eyes tired?
I'm not gonna lie, my eyes are starting to give way. I, however, will NOT give in >=D
2) What have you finished reading?

I have finished Hidden by Marianne Curley & Tempest by Julie Cross
3) What is your favorite read so far?

Tempest by Julie Cross. Absolutely LOVED it =D
4) What about your favorite snacks?

I haven't really been "snacking" as such today. I'd have to say dinner was lovely as I had fish cake & chips =D
5) Have you found any new blogs through the readathon? If so, give them some love!

Some friends of mine are actually doing this, so it's great to see all of us participating.

End of event meme

1) Which hour was most daunting for you?
God, when it got to 1:30am. My eyes refused to stay open. I had to take a nap to re-energise myself.
 2) Could you list a few high-interest books that you think could keep a Reader engaged for next year?
I think the best thing to do is not read big books, and books that interest you and keep you hooked and reading.
3) Do you have any suggestions for how to improve the Read-a-thon next year?
I feel like there should be a competition of the people who stay awake the most and read the most pages.
4) What do you think worked really well in this year’s Read-a-thon?
I think the cheerleaders gave the best support to keep us going. Those mini challenges were nice to break up the reading and have a little fun.
5) How many books did you read?
I read a whooping 3 books, which makes me proud as I'm a slow reader.
6) What were the names of the books you read?
Hidden by Marianne Curley, Tempest by Julie Cross & Destiny's Fire by Trisha Wolfe
7) Which book did you enjoy most?
I did like them all. But if I had to choose, I'd say Tempest.
8) Which did you enjoy least?
Having to have little breaks and walking around to stretch my legs, haha
9) How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again?
I will most definitely do it again.
10) What role would you be likely to take next time?
I will still be a reader as I LOVE to read & challenge myself =D

Well, overall I'm really proud of myself. Normally I struggle to read just one book in a day as I'm a slow reader & have to take breaks. But considering I had a 6 hour sleep during & had dinner & lunch, I did so well. Was so much fun, and I'd definitely be up for doing another =)

  2. I'm assuming you have to read as many possible books in one day, am I right? What is it, it sounds like a great challenge. Good luck and ooh you watch Vampire Diaries, me2 I'm obsessed.

  5. Looks like you are doing very well today! Big books scare me too - can take forever to finish them but if they are great I don't want them to end :)

    1. Yeah they scare me because they're so big, and I chose a big one as my second book, haha. But it's a good one =D

  6. Must be time to wake up and start reading again by now, isn't it?

I sometimes find big books intimidating, too, but when you like them they tend to go fast.
